Brand Identity
Overview

A logo is not a brand. It is one asset inside a system that also includes colour, typography, imagery, layout, tone of voice and the rules that hold them together. Businesses that invest only in the logo end up with a mark they like and a brand that looks different in every place a customer encounters it.

We build identity systems designed for how brands are actually used now — mostly small, mostly on screens, mostly in motion, and applied by many people who are not designers. That last constraint is the one most often ignored, and it is the reason so many identities decay within a year of launch.

Strategy first, because design decisions need a reason

Before any visual work we establish what the brand needs to communicate and to whom, how it is positioned against the alternatives, and what it must not be mistaken for. Without that, design review becomes a matter of personal taste and the process stalls. With it, every choice can be argued from the strategy rather than defended as a preference.

Designed for the smallest, hardest use first

Most brand encounters now happen at the size of a social avatar or an app icon. An identity that only works on a billboard is a liability. We design and test marks at the sizes they will genuinely be used, in both light and dark contexts, and in motion — because a static-only identity looks dated the moment it appears in video.

Colour and type as system, not decoration

We build a full palette with accessible contrast pairings documented, so your team is not guessing whether white text clears legibility on a brand colour. Typography is specified as a scale with defined roles, which is what keeps layouts consistent across a website, a deck and a print piece produced by three different people.

Guidelines people will actually use

A two-hundred-page brand bible nobody opens is a failed deliverable. We produce practical guidelines — clear rules, real examples, correct and incorrect usage, and ready-made templates for the formats your team produces most often. The measure of success is whether a non-designer can produce something on-brand without asking for help.

Problems we solve

If any of this sounds familiar.

A brand that looks different everywhere

Website, social and print each drifted in their own direction, so nothing compounds into recognition.

A logo that breaks at small sizes

Detail that disappears in a profile picture or an app icon, which is where most people now see it.

Design decisions settled by opinion

With no strategy underneath, every review becomes a debate about personal taste and nothing gets approved.

Guidelines nobody follows

A document too long or too abstract to use, so the team improvises and the identity erodes.

What you get

The outcomes this actually produces.

Recognition that compounds

Consistent application means every impression reinforces the last instead of starting over.

A team that can self-serve

Templates and clear rules let non-designers produce on-brand material without a bottleneck.

Credibility with bigger buyers

A coherent identity materially changes how large clients and investors judge your maturity.

Faster production forever

Settled type, colour and layout rules remove the slowest decisions from every future project.

Why Sphurit

Why brands choose us for brand identity.

We design for application, not for the case study

The test is whether it survives contact with your team, not whether it wins a design award.

Accessibility built into the palette

Contrast pairings are documented up front, so your brand colours are legible and compliant by default.

Motion considered from the start

Marks are designed knowing they will animate, which keeps the identity current in video and social.

We implement it too

The same team builds your website and produces your content, so the identity is applied correctly rather than handed over and hoped for.

FAQ

Brand Identity — your questions answered

How long does a brand identity project take?

A full identity — strategy, design, guidelines and templates — usually runs six to ten weeks. A logo-only engagement can be shorter, though we rarely recommend it because the system is what creates consistency.

Do we own the final artwork?

Yes, completely. You receive full ownership along with source files in editable formats, plus every export you need for web, print and social.

Can you refresh our brand without starting over?

Yes. An evolution — tightening the mark, rebuilding the palette and type system, and writing usable guidelines — often delivers most of the benefit while retaining hard-won recognition.

How many logo options do we see?

Typically three developed directions, each argued from the strategy, rather than a large pile of variations. Depth on a few strong routes beats breadth on weak ones.

What files do we get at the end?

Vector source files, web and print exports in every required format, favicon and app icon sets, colour values for digital and print, font files or licences, and editable templates.

Will you help roll it out?

Yes. We handle application across website, social, signage, stationery and packaging, and can brief your existing suppliers so the rollout stays consistent.
